The Cross Keys Inn was originally built in 1745 situated on the Old Marsden Packhorse route, it first opened as a tavern in 1763. Set in a beautiful location in the heart of the Saddleworth hills, we offer breath-taking views of the Tame Valley, abundant wild life and much more....
We offer a range of drinks, with a big emphasis on cask ale and seasonal ales. In addition we also offer trusted favourites as well as an extensive Gin and spirit collection.
All of our food is homemade and presented by our professional kitchen team. In addition to our pub classics we also offer a contemporary selection of modern dishes with frequently changing specials.
Madeusing ale and crystal malt, and Golding hops, for a satisfying flavour and citrus aftertaste that's rewarded Mancunian graft for generations.
This refreshingly Mancunian Pale Ale gives ale lovers a similar hop-packed offering to its American equivalents. It's a golden ale that’s made entirely from all-British malt, Liberty and Mount Hood hops.
A smooth, well-rounded character, sweet undertones and full malty aftertaste.
We always have the latest JW Lees seasonal real offering on the bar
JW Lees Boiler house offerings change on a bi-monthly basis and we stock all that is available to us

Manchester's rain is infamous, but it's made us who we are. Not only did it help create our textile industry, but it's inspired some of our greatest names, from Lowry to Morrissey to Michael (our Head Brewer). JW Lees Stout is a dark and brooding ale that takes its inspiration - and its main ingredient - from those same northern skies. Made with pride using the finest northern water.
Note the creaminess of its froth, and the consistency that it has. And its golden colour. Balanced with a hint of bitterness, it tastes of cereal and hops. With an aroma of white fruits and a floral background.
It’s rich, it’s creamy, and it’s black (well actually, if you look closely, Guinness is ruby red in colour but don’t tell anyone!). With hints of roasted coffee and chocolate. Smoothly balanced with bitter, sweet, roasted notes.
Inch's Medium Apple Cider is a lightly sparkling cider with a fresh apple aroma. Made using 100% British apples, grown within 40 miles from their Hereford mill. Every drop is crafted to strike that perfect balance between sweet and dry for lip-smacking refreshment.
